Who we are

VeriVest is an investor onboarding and compliance platform operated by Retrader Pty Ltd. Where a fund manager or other client organisation uses VeriVest to onboard its own investors, that organisation determines what information is collected and why. VeriVest processes that information on its behalf.

Information we collect

• Identity information such as name, date of birth, residential address and identification documents
• Contact information including email address and phone number
• Entity information such as company, trust, unit trust and superannuation fund details
• Details of directors, trustees, beneficiaries, unit holders, beneficial owners and authorised representatives
• Financial information provided for wholesale investor eligibility, including asset, liability and income schedules
• Source of funds and source of wealth declarations and supporting documents
• Verification and screening results returned by connected providers
• Platform usage records, including authentication and audit log events

Why we collect it

• To allow a client organisation to assess and process an investor application
• To verify identity and satisfy anti money laundering and counter terrorism financing obligations
• To assess wholesale investor eligibility where that pathway applies
• To produce and retain an audit ready compliance record
• To operate, secure, support and improve the platform

Disclosure

Personal information may be disclosed to the client organisation operating the onboarding process, to a nominated accountant where a certificate is requested, and to connected service providers such as identity verification, screening, signature, storage and communication providers.

We do not sell personal information. Disclosure to any other party occurs only where required or permitted by law.

Storage, security and retention

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per client organisation and accessible only through authenticated, role based access. Documents are never served from public URLs.

Retention periods are configurable by each client organisation and are set to meet its record keeping obligations.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information held about you. Where a client organisation controls the record, your request may be directed to that organisation.

If you believe your privacy has been mishandled, you can raise a complaint through our complaints page.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be reviewed and updated as the platform is released. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
